FOOD OUTREACH PROGRAM LOCAL SPONSORS COMMON CUP MINISTRY MCLEOD COUNTY EMERGENCY FOOD SHELF SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING BY Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Program Objective: To supply individuals and family units with surplus food in order to end hunger through community partnerships. Outreach program organized through Second Harvest Heartland. Eligibility: All participating households or individuals are asked to register at the Food Outreach. Eligibility is household income that does not exceed federal poverty guidelines at 200% or poverty or a family identifying itself as “in crisis”. Participating households self-identify; no proof of income or residence is requested. No cost to participants: The host organization pays a fee per Food Outreach distribution to help offset costs for transportation and handling. There is no charge to receive the food.
